A Battle Cruiser is forced to engage its star drive to keep from being destroyed at the end of a battle, not knowing where they will end up. With other like minded Darrk's, they have to prevent a newly trained engineer, and the old Political Officer, from completing the repairs, and bringing about the end of a planet they have grown to love. Russell lives in a small town in Montana where he has a girl he can't blast out of town, two dogs, three cats, a garden, boredom, Culinary School certificates he can't use, one vivid imagination, and a wicked sense of humor. The Last Engineer is his first published novel and is one of three in a series.
